SUMMER Wednesday Co-Ed League

League play starts on April 08, 2009 and will conclude on September 23, 2009. There will be an 18-hole tournament on Saturday September 26, 2009.

Basic Rules governing this league are stated herein. NOTICE RULES AND POINT TOTAL CHANGES !

MEMBERSHIP: YOU MUST BE A LEAGUE MEMBER TO PLAY IN THE WEDNESDAY LEAGUE! Therefore you must pay at least $1.00 for the End of League Tournament and Lunch. You are not eligible for Points until you have played two (2) rounds on each nine to determine  an average point requirement for be an existing league member from the previous season, either winter or summer. In this case the minimum fee is $3.00 and you are eligible to win the points section of the league. You may also participate in the skins and closest to the pin at any time. You also must play with one other active current member of the Wednesday League. You cannot play with a non-member, friend, spouse or significant other who is not a league member.

PRIZE FUND: Weekly Prize money will remain $6.00, $1.00 set aside for final 18 hole prize fund and dinner, $2.00 for points, $2.00 for skins and $1.00 for Closest to the Pin. Skins and Closest to the Pin are optional each week. Point money will be divided between the three (3) players with the most points achieved and split 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd place and 20% for 3rd place. 1st place tie of two (2) players wil split 1st and 2nd place prize money. Three-way or more tie for 1st will split all the points money. Two (2) or more tie for 2nd place will split 2nd and 3rd place money. Two or more tie for 3rd place will split 3rd place money. Score cards or scores by hole will not be used to determine winners. Skin money will remain as always for birdies or better and possible carry-over to the next week. If you did not lay or participate in the Skins that was carried over, an additionsl $2.00 must be paid in order to qualify for the carry over. Accounting records will be kept each week and can be reviewed by anyone.

POINTS: Will be calculated on 1/2 point increments. (See Para. 3 Below) League members will start with either Winter 2008/2009 or Summer 2008 final point requirement dpending upon when they last played in the league.  New members will not be eligile for point money until they attain an average. This is accomplished by playing the first 2 weeks play on each nine. These new members do not have to pay the $2.00 for points but must pay at least $1.00 each week for the season ending match. They may participate in the Closest to the Pin and Skins pools if desired. Points made the first week on each nine will be used as 'points needed' for the scond round on that nine. This applies to all players. After two rounds on each nine, points will be averaged from then on. In other words, you need two rounds on each nine to create an average for the third week.

WEEKLY POINTS: Points are accumulated based on the score for each hole. Double Bogey = 1/2 point; Bogey = 1 point; Par = 2 points; Birdie = 4 points; Eagles = 6 points and Double Eagle = 8 points. Points achieved wil be averaged progressively through-out the season and points needed each round will be based on the average total points to dat made on that nine. Front and Back points are not added together. Averages are arrived at by dividing the total points made to date by the number of rounds plaed to date (on each respective nine). Your average points made on each nine will determine how many points you need the next time you play that nine. Example, if you make 10 points for 4 straight rounds on the front side, the 5th round you will need 10 points (40 total points divided by 4 rounds). If you make 9, 8, 6, 10 and 3 points respectively in 5 rounds (36 points total) divided by 5 rounds, you will need 7.2 points rounded to 7 points for the 6th round. Basically, if less that 1/2 point, the total is rounded down to the even whole number. If more than 1/2 point, total is rounded up to the next whole number. Therefore 7.0 to 7.4 will be 7 points. 7.5 will be 7 1/2 points. 7.6 to 7.9 will be 8.0 points. Points will be calculated by the League Secretary and poosted on the bulletin board.

Sorecards need only be signed by the scorere and attested by one other person. Please date the card. Show the Players first name initial and full last name on the scorecard (Example; M Green not just Malcolm). Once cards are turned in to the Pro Shop, all scores are final. If scores are not complete, i.e., all nine holes recorded, players will be disqualified. Error in total score will be ignored as scores on individual holes will apply. Entry fees or any portion thereof will not be refuned on disqualificatrions.

RAINOUTS: Will be as approved and determined by the Pro Shop.

     a.     If more than 50% of the normal number of players get rained out, or less than 50% get to  play the league is cancelled for that day. Money paid will be carried over to the next week.

     b.     If less than 50% of the normal number of playser get rained out, or more than 50% get to play, league wil consist of those who played  and money  distributed to those players.

     c.     If rainout occurs in mid-round, a or b above apply.    If round is not completed, the player may complete the round the next day (Thursday). No carryovers to Friday or Saturday.  If you continue the rainout play on Thursday, you must continue from the last hole played on Wednesday or start your round over from the first hole. If you are rained out completely before starting, you may play Thursday with a Clubhouse Rainout ticket. Report to the Clubhouse your decission to request a rainout of your round so the staff will know you are planning to play on Thursday or that maney paid can be carried over or returned if you do not finish play. Two or more league members must play on the Thursday completion round.

Members must have played 6 front and 6 back nines to qualify for the final 18 hole tournament. There are 25 weeks in the summer league, 13 front and 12 back, unless rainouts shorten the season.

Closest to the Pin is to be measured form the edge of the hole nearest the ball (or using the metal plate insert) to the front edge of the ball. If the metal pin and clip-board are used (without a measuring tape), place the pin where your ball stopped on the green. Following players must leave or replace the pin on that spot. If pin is in your line of sight on the green, remove and replace the clip-board pin. If a measuring tape is used, replace the pin on the apron of the green.

Tuesday Ladies League

The league is open to any lady wishing to play, course membership is not required. To be added to the league you would need to talk to Diana. Please contact the Pro Shop for information. The weekly sheet with your tee time is posted on the bulletin board in the Pro Shop.

Friday Men's League

The league is open to any man, course membership not required, wishing to play on Friday mornings November through March. Our aim is to  play some slightly competitive golf with like-minded golfers in a spirit of fun and fellowship.

A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in the Pro Shop and you just need to sign up to be included on the following weeks schedule. Golfers from Lettuce Lake are presently coordinating the league.

Cost is $3.00 each week, plus $1.00 if you wish to enter Skins play.

Players earn their 'league' handicap after 8 weeks of play, which is based on the average of the best 4 of the last 8 games. There is a formula for handicapping the first 8 games.

Flights of approximately 10 players are established each week based on the hanidcap described above which are recalculated weekly.

It's not for the Money, but for fun. Winners in each flight share $10.00! [$5,$3 and $2]

A season ending tournament is held in March with slightly bigger prizes awarded at a banquet.

Welcome
